How we have celebrated 13 years without her, I will never truly know. But, here's the thing...we *have* celebrated. Sometimes in big ways. Sometimes in small, quiet ways. Sometimes in the moments no one ever sees.
We have fought to find these tiny ounces of happiness, to put our pieces back together - time and time again - and in each day...it starts with this family.
She lives on, because we live on. 💙
That doesn't mean it gets any easier - in fact, quite the opposite. It just means we've chosen to seek out that silver lining, daily. It means nothing stands in the way of each other. Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind...or forgotten. There might be no other family more true to that.
Happy 31st, Kellie. 🌺
